Ms Cheryl Wellham

Cheryl has been part owner and General Manager of Exemplar Coaches and Limousines since 2007. She brings diversified experience from her 22yrs nursing in critical care units and from 15 yrs. in sales and marketing for two multi-national pharmaceutical companies. On completion of these two careers she embarked on her third as a business owner with her husband. The extended family have been residents of Port Douglas since 1967, as such her memories of the area are vivid and varied. Cheryl has previously been on various committees to support the community; as Arts and Culture representative on the Douglas Shire Council Community panel, panel member for the Chamber of Commerce and Queensland Regional Board representing Port Douglas, Secretary and then President of Art House Port Douglas and as Secretary of the Port Douglas Yacht Club. Cheryl is committed to supporting the region and the tourism industry, which underpins the economic success and viability of the region. By being a member of the Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce Committee she will endeavour to strengthen the important nexus among business owners, the Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Port Douglas-Daintree and the Douglas Shire Council. She sees the importance of the collaboration and co-operation among these entities to make the region thrive.
